The QUAD Derma is a highly advanced non-surgical solution that combines the benefits of micro- needling and radio-frequency technology into one outstanding device. Utilising ultra-fine, insulated, and adjustable needles, it can safely and effectively treat all skin types and a wide range of skin concerns at varying depths, including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, scars and pitted skin.
Micro-needling RF is a cosmetic procedure that combines the benefits of micro-needling and radio frequency energy. Micro-needling involves the use of tiny needles to puncture the skin, creating microscopic wounds that trigger the body’s natural healing process. Radio frequency energy is a type of electromagnetic energy that heats the deeper layers of the skin’s tissues to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture and firmness.
The science behind micro-needling RF lies in the principle of controlled tissue damage and subsequent repair. The micro-needles create small, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, and the body responds to the injury by producing new collagen and elastin, which are essential proteins that give skin its strength, elasticity, and youthful appearance.
The depth of the needles and the intensity of the RF energy can be adjusted to provide a tailored treatment that meets each patient’s unique needs by promoting the growth of new, healthy skin cells at varying tissue depths. Two Treatments in One:
Micro-needling gently creates tiny punctures in the skin, simultaneously releasing radio-frequency energy at controlled temperatures of 55-65°C, triggering a natural wound-healing response and producing new collagen and elastin.
Multiple Tip Sizes:
Each device includes a selection of three interchangeable tips of varying sizes, making it possible to handle a broad spectrum of areas. These include a small tip: 10 needles (10×1), a medium tip: 36 needles (6×6) and a large tip: 64 needles (8×8).
Insulated Needles:
Each micro-needle has a layer of insulation around them, allowing heat only to be emitted from the tip. Heating, specifically the lower layers of the skin, protects the epidermis and is, therefore, a much safer treatment for those at risk of hyperpigmentation.
Ultra-Fine Gold Plated Needles:
The QUAD Derma uses ultra-fine gold-plated micro-needles (0.12mm in diameter) for enhanced safety and comfortable treatment. The gold plating is particularly beneficial to those that suffer from metal allergies, as gold is hypoallergenic.
Adjustable Depth Control:
With a needle depth that can be adjusted from 0.5 to 3.5 mm (by 0.1 mm increments), this dermal rejuvenation method provides individualised treatment for different areas and concerns and benefits the skin, both structurally and superficially.
Precise Control:
A built-in step control feature allows for more accurate and steady needle insertion for patient comfort, reducing the risk of epidermal damage and minimal downtime.
Vacuum Technology:
The vacuum technology used by the QUAD Derma works by lifting the treatment area to stabilise the micro-needles, allowing for safer and more accurate treatment depths. This is particularly beneficial around delicate areas.
